Year 2 have been investigating how to plan a mission to the Moon, based on information from the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing. We split into different groups, which were astronauts, doctors, researchers and mission control. The doctors put the astronauts through some gruelling health checks, while mission control built and checked the space rocket and space suits. The researchers decided if the weather was good enough to launch and found out when and where it would be safe to land on the moon. The mission was a great success, with only one astronaut bringing back a space bug.
