Months of hard work culminated in a stunning performance at the Royal Albert Hall on 29th April. This was an experience that will never be forgotten by all those who were involved. The class were a credit to the school and behaved impeccably throughout a long day.
On arriving at the Albert Hall we ate lunch and then began rehearsals which lasted well into the afternoon. At 4 o'clock we were free for two hours and so went to visit the Princes Diana Memorial Playground where the class were able to have some fun on some of the fantastic play equipment. We ate a picnic tea and then it was back for the performance.
There was a mixture of nerves and excitement as we waited to take our places but everyone was quietly confident. Once in our places the children were eagerly looking out for parents and other supporters in the audience. Then the concert began...
Many thanks to parents who supported the children, both before and at the event. Thanks to the staff who accompanied the class and to Mrs Insley who worked hard to give the children this fantastic opportunity.
