Extra Curricular Activities

Activities Organised by School Staff




Chess club is held at lunchtime and is organised and run by Year 6 pupils (with a little help from Mrs Rodbourne.) Children of all abilities, in years 4, 5 and 6, are encouraged to play and beginners are given help and advice by more experienced players.

Environmental and Gardening Club
This club is organised by Mrs Freeman for Key Stage 2 children.
Children of all abilities from Years 5 and 6 are welcome at Gym Club. Weekly sessions include floor work, vaulting and sports acrobatics. Gym Club members enjoy working towards their displays for the Princes Risborough Gym and Dance Festival


Mrs Thomas runs homework club during the Autumn and Spring Term for Years 5 and 6. There is also a club for Years 3 and 4 run by Mrs Dales.
Lego Club
A club for Years 1 and 2 children run by Mrs Moss.
Netball club is open to years 5 and 6, both boys and girls. Children develop their skills and learn about tactics and team work for competitive games with Miss Moulder.
Orchestra, with Mrs Insley, gives the older children the opportunity to play together and also to perform. Spring/Summer Term.

Art Club

Run by Stuart Clough,  children experience new styles of painting with the opportunity to work with mixed media.
Athletics Club A Club Sport activity for Years 1,2,3 and 4 in the Summer Term



Computer Explorers



This term the club will be working on Website building. . A club for KS2 children.

Dance Club
This popular club, run by Miss Natalie, a qualified teacher of dance, will continue this year. Children learn a variety of different dance styles working towards displays at the Princes Risborough Gym and Dance festival.
French Club Using successful La Jolie Ronde methodology, a French course taught in small classes divided by age, open for children in Years 1 to 6.

Gymnastics A club run by Premier Sport for Years 3 and 4  
Musical Theatre        A club run by Premier Sport for Years 1 to 6

Mulltiply Music       

This course combines mathematics, music and English to create a truly revolutionary experience. Here students will play on their very own drum kits with LED foam batons for drum sticks. Open to Years 1 to 6


Run by the Samurai Fitness Group for Reception and Years 1 & 2, Autumn, Spring & Summer Term.

Princes Risborough School Sports Partnership

After school club 4-5pm at Princes Risborough Community Sports Centre. All ability's from Year 3-6. (No charge)
