Extra Curricular Activities

Activities Organised by School Staff

 
Chess                      

 

 

Chess club is held at lunchtime and is organised and run by Year 5 pupils (with a little help from Mrs Rodbourne.) Children of all abilities, in years 4, 5 and 6, are encouraged to play and beginners are given help and advice by more experienced players.


Environmental and Gardening Club
This club is organised by Mrs Robinson and Mrs Bottomley for Key Stage 2 children.
Gymnastics
Children of all abilities from Years 5 and 6 are welcome at Gym Club. Weekly sessions include floor work, vaulting and sports acrobatics. Gym Club members enjoy working towards their displays for the Princes Risborough Gym and Dance Festival

Homework

Mrs Thomas runs homework club during the Autumn and Spring Term for Years 5 and 6. There is also a club for Years 3 and 4 run by Miss Goff and Mrs Marshall.
Lego Club
A club for Years 1 and 2 children run by Mrs Freeman.
 
Netball
Netball club is open to years 5 and 6, both boys and girls. Children develop their skills and learn about tactics and team work for competitive games with Miss Moulder and Miss Hughes.
Orchestra
Orchestra, with Mrs Insley, gives the older children the opportunity to play together and also to perform.
 
Rise and Shine  A morning dance club for children in Year 1 and 2 run by Miss Henley.
Tag Rugby
Mr Bullock runs our successful Tag Rugby Club which is open to all children in Year 5 and 6 during the Autumn Term.
 


 
 

Activities Run by External Providers
 

Active Gamerz An exciting new way to exercise and improve fitness levels.
Art Club

Run by Stuart Clough,  children experience new styles of painting with the opportunity to work with mixed media.
 
Athletics Club A Club Sport activity for Years 1,2,3 and 4 in the Summer Term


Basketball

 

Computer Explorers


A breakfast club, run by Club Sport, for KS2 children. 

 

This term the club will be working on film making techniques. A club for KS2 children.

Dance Club
This popular club, run by Miss Natalie, a qualified teacher of dance, will continue this year. Children learn a variety of different dance styles working towards displays at the Princes Risborough Gym and Dance festival.
French Club Run by Joanna Boothroyd 'La Jolue Ronde' for Years 1 & 2
Football
A club run by Club Sport for Years 1-4.

Multi Sports

 

An activity session for year 1,2 and 3 provided by Club Sport.
 

Samurai

 

Run by the Samurai Fitness Group for Reception and Years 1 & 2, Autumn, Spring & Summer Term.

 

Spanish

Run by Joanna Boothroyd 'La Jolie Ronde' for Years 1, 2, 3 & 4

 

Tennis Run by J C Tennis
 

 

Princes Risborough School Sports Partnership

After school club 4-5pm at Princes Risborough Community Sports Centre. All ability's from Year 3-6. (No charge)

Term 1

Badminton: 7th November - 28th November

 

Term 2

Table Tennis: 6th March - 27th March

 

Term 3

Indoor Cricket: 12th June - 3rd July
