Year 3 food making and tasting
As part of theme week year 3 made some healthy snacks. We learn how to chop and grate safely and then followed recipes to make mackerel pate, coleslaw, cous cous, salsa and hummus. Children then presented their food and tasted all the healthy snacks. As you can tell by some of the children’s faces, the salsa was quite spicy. Mrs Lyons also baked fresh bred for us. The children had a go at slicing this and used it to dip into the snacks. Thank you Mrs Lyons. It was delicious.
