During the morning, Year 5 experienced what it would be like in a Victorian School, where children were, 'Seen and not heard!' They could only speak when they were spoken to and had to stand if an adult entered the room! After lunch they played traditional playground games including hopscotch and bowling hoops. The main event of the day was 'The Great Exhibition' where Years 5 and 6 displayed the items they had recreated from Victorian times. Children from other classes came to visit and later on parents were invited to view the exhibition. The class enjoyed a Victorian tea party with traditional cakes, scones and Victoria sponges. Everyone who visited was impressed by the models made and by how knowledgeable the children were about the exhibits. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this fantastic day.
Here are some photos of the day.
