To encourage our children to be the very best they can, both academically and socially, the school has a variety of reward systems in place.
- House Points - These are awarded by staff to children for good work or effort. A cup is awarded to the winning house team at the end of the year.
- Class Merits - Each class can be awarded a merit based on collective achievement or behaviour. Once a class has 10 merits they may choose a reward agreed with the class teacher.
- Values Tree - Children who demonstrate school values in the way they conduct themselves around school, are recognised in our celebration assembly on Wednesday morning. They receive a token ( Autumn Term - leaf, Spring Term - daffodil, Summer Term - sun) which is then hung on our values tree in the reception area. Children may receive these awards for acts of kindness, being helpful or upholding any of our values.
At the end of Key Stage 2, cups are awarded, in a number of areas, to children who have made an outstanding contribution to school life. Winners are selected by staff except for the Good Citizen award which is chosen by Year 6 pupils.
Trophies are awarded for the following: Art, Creative Writing, Environmental, Good Citizen, Music, Science, Singing, Sports ( Boy & Girl)
