Online Learning - Summer 2

Welcome back. We hope you have enjoyed your half term break and have made the most of the lovely weather.

We will continue to set online learning in the same familiar format, with a piece of English and maths work set daily. The week’s work will be posted on the Friday before. Please continue to check your relevant class pages. For English there will be a ‘What to do today’ listing three activities. We would like you to complete activities 1 and 2, with activity 3 being optional.

There is a whole school topic of ‘water’ for the summer term. As Year 3/4 we will focus our learning and activities around the theme of oceans and the water cycle. We have included a selection of cross-curricular activities on a connect four grid for you to focus your learning around. These selected activities will remain on your class page in the coming weeks. We would like you to try and explore as many different activities as you can. Some may be longer projects. As always we look forward to seeing your endeavours. On Monday 8th, we will be celebrating World Ocean Day. Please wear something blue and join in the activities on https://worldoceanday.school/

Every day you should also spend time reading your reading book. Make sure you are recording it in your reading record. When you finish your book, select an activity from the reading activity sheet.

Practise your times tables using TTRockstars. If you have forgotten your password, email your maths teacher who will be able to send it to you.

Please keep in touch with any queries and updates on learning.

Take care,

Miss Moulder, Mrs Dales and Miss Hicks

English Homework - 5.2.20

Egyptian Theme Week

This term our focus for theme week was Ancient Egypt. We started the week discovering what life was like in Ancient Egypt and why they chose to settle by the River Nile. We learnt about the mummification process and mummified apples in groups. We also learnt about Howard Carter and the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb. This inspired our own stories and art work
