The children have had a fantastic Theme Week exploring the theme of Flight. There have been many opportunities for cross curricular work across the school.
Some classes have studied the history of flight as well as looking at the life of Amelia Earhart. Many of the classes have designed and made flying machines, planes and kites. Some have experimented with ‘rockets’ and others carried out experiments with paper planes. One class enjoyed a visit from one of our parents, Mr Issacs who talked about his work as a pilot. He also explained the scientific principles of flight and answered many questions from the class. A wide range of artwork has also been produced and children have also had opportunities to use ICT to carry out research, for presentation of work and Stop - Frame Animations.
An exhibition of the children’s work will be open to parents on Monday 1st July.
