If a child is not achieving their full potential their needs will be discussed with parents. Children who are placed on the Special Needs Register have an individual learning programme initiated, followed by a review for those on School Action Plus. The Area Support Teacher will be invited to assess the child and make recommendations to both teacher and parent. If required, the help of the Educational Psychologist will be enlisted to suggest further avenues of work and assistance. Children are closely monitored and may come off the register if their work is at the same level as most of the class.
